If you have plenty of leftovers after the ceremony, consider donating them to local food banks.
4. Wedding favor centerpiece. Wedding favors are often distributed as the reception winds down and guests prepare to head home, but the favors can also be used as decorations. Display whatever goodies you are giving your friends and family on a platter in the center of each table or on a tiered holder, such as a cake stand. 5. Fishbowls. One final centerpiece suggestion is to place two to three fishbowls on each table—no fish required. Just place pebbles or gravel at the bottom, fill with water, and add a floating candle if desired. Barbara and Michael got married on a quiet Thursday, surrounded by their dearest friends and family.  They married in the Church next door to the Nursing Home where Barbara has attentively visited her Father several days a week, for the past several years.  They first dated in the courtyard of that Nursing Home, where Michael would come to get to know Barbara better as she continued to care for her Father.  I don't know Barbara and Michael well,  I was hired to shoot their wedding four weeks before their special day, and went into the day knowing only what I'd gathered from the flurry of emails I'd exchanged with Barbara.  I knew from just those little bits, that it was an honor that they chose me to be there.  Sometimes, you just know you're going to like someone before you even meet them.  Their wedding day didn't disappoint...Barbara and Michael have faced hardships, have faced trials, and have even faced death.  They danced to the song "Follow Through" by Gavin DeGraw...and while I don't normally tear up while working, I knew that song represented them perfectly.  With lots of laughs, encouragement, stories, and even a PROPOSAL --- Barbara and Michael's day was an honor to shoot, and they deserved every bit of their beautiful celebration! www.elusivephotodesign.com

The Beginning of ‘Yes’

When we’re little girls, our parents will understandably tell us that we can’t have everything we want. But it seems that on certain occasions in a lifetime that that is a rule that could be broken. We meet the perfect man. We fall in love. We say yes to that life-changing question. Now isn’t it time for a special day where we can truly have it all—if only for a day?

As I was planning my wedding, I remember flipping through a magazine and finding the perfect brooch bouquet. After calling to find out the price, I was informed that the bouquet cost $1,000, which was about $1,000 over my budget. After buying a new house and preparing to save for our future, we managed to budget our wedding at only $5,000, which is why I call my budget, a “low to no” budget.

After already saying no to my $8,000 dream dress, it just didn’t seem fair that I couldn’t even have the ideal brooch bouquet. As I was searching for the perfect ingredients for my dream wedding, I ended up having to push it back several times and the years began to come between the two of us. Finally, after looking at that magazine picture a thousand times, I was able to lay it down when my future husband finally said, “Babe, you can make that.”

After work each day, I spent five hours or more working on my own brooch bouquet. Venturing without guidance, I dedicated myself by sinking my teeth into the project and making it mine. After squeezing in forty hours of work, it was finally complete. Besides making my dream brooch bouquet, I had also stirred up something deep inside of me that was aching to get out. While working, a peace of mind washed over me with a newfound inner happiness and general contentment.

The final product stunned my husband and we both felt it came out as good if not better than the one in the magazine. I felt as if I had taken a first step in a new, exciting direction. I also felt an undeniable connection to God and I knew I had found my true passion. At my wedding, all the guests gathered around and kept telling me I should go into business for myself.

Thanks to my growing passion and the encouragement of my friends and family, I had no hesitation venturing out to open up B in the Center, LLC. Every morning, I wake up with a smile and that same peace of mind with me because I know I can help others get the ingredients for their dream wedding at an affordable rate. I can see that inner child in every customer smiling ear to ear and I love to be the one to say, “Yes, you really can have it all.”
