Barbara and Michael got married on a quiet Thursday,
surrounded by their dearest friends and family.
They married in the Church next door to the Nursing Home where Barbara
has attentively visited her Father several days a week, for the past several
years. They first dated in the courtyard
of that Nursing Home, where Michael would come to get to know Barbara better as
she continued to care for her Father. I
don't know Barbara and Michael well, I
was hired to shoot their wedding four weeks before their special day, and went
into the day knowing only what I'd gathered from the flurry of emails I'd
exchanged with Barbara. I knew from just
those little bits, that it was an honor that they chose me to be there. Sometimes, you just know you're going to like
someone before you even meet them. Their
wedding day didn't disappoint...Barbara and Michael have faced hardships, have
faced trials, and have even faced death.
They danced to the song "Follow Through" by Gavin DeGraw...and
while I don't normally tear up while working, I knew that song represented them
perfectly. With lots of laughs,
encouragement, stories, and even a PROPOSAL --- Barbara and Michael's day was
an honor to shoot, and they deserved every bit of their beautiful celebration! www.elusivephotodesign.com
